A racing syndicate built to preserve the upside beyond the racecourse.
The first question is always:
Can this horse justify being bought as a racehorse?
The breeding pathway does not replace that discipline. It adds another layer to it.
We are not restricted to fillies, but they are central to the model.
When assessing a filly, we consider not only her racing potential, but also whether her page, family profile, and physical make-up could support residual value later.
That does not mean she is bought as a broodmare from day one.
It means we are conscious of where value may survive if the racecourse case develops.
During the racing phase, the syndicate operates in the normal way.
Some fillies will improve. Some will disappoint. Some may need more time. Some may never build the profile required for breeding.
The breeding question is reviewed later, not assumed at purchase.
A filly must earn the right to continue.
At the end of a filly’s racing career, our stud farm partner assesses whether she has a credible breeding case.
That review may include:
Black-type or ratings profile,
Pedigree depth,
Commercial appeal of the family,
Physical suitability,
Temperament and soundness,
Market conditions at the time.
The purpose of the review is not to force every filly into breeding.
It is to decide whether the case is strong enough to proceed.
If a filly qualifies for the breeding pathway, existing owners are given the first option to continue.
Owners who do not wish to participate in the breeding phase can step away according to the terms of the relevant syndicate agreement.
Any remaining participation may then be offered to new owners.
The principle is simple: those who supported the racing career should have first choice on the second phase, if that second phase is justified.
